Our services

Since the beginning of its activity, Elexind has paid special attention to technical support service on marketed and/or distributed products.
In particular, our technical support service covers the following fields of activity:

Equipment installation

The service department has always provided installation of systems sold by Elexind where stipulated in the contract. In some cases, for major systems, installation is done with the support of technicians from the company supplying the equipment.

Warranty repairs

Normally, the warranty terms for equipment are 12 months from the date of delivery or the date of installation, if applicable. Only in some cases do some suppliers guarantee the product for 24 months.
Warranty work is free of charge for labor hours while out-of-pocket expenses are billed at cost.

Out-of-warranty repairs

After the end of the warranty period, repairs on failed equipment either at the customer's site or at ours are charged according to the current charges. See Service Rates
Intervention times will be agreed with the technician responsible for the product and are generally never more than 48 hours.

Preventive manteinance

Preventive maintenance is recommended for some systems marketed by Elexind: usually annual, in some cases semi-annual.
This type of maintenance can be requested as an on-call intervention, or included in a maintenance contract.

Maintenance contracts

If it becomes necessary, for production reasons, to have the equipment at peak performance and to do so requires intervention at fixed intervals, a contract can be entered into that provides:
 
  • The deadlines for interventions
  • The intervention times
  • The materials needed for the intervention
  • Any special conditions for interventions outside the contract
  • The duration of the contract itself
     
Contracts are for one year, are renewable at the user's request, and include special conditions such as priority in intervention and reduced costs for out-of-contract interventions.

Calibration

Some types of products, e.g., Health Physics instrumentation or Particle Counters, require annual Calibrations. Elexind relies for this service on specialized centers that issue the relevant calibration certificates to European standards.

Training

If advanced training is required, this should be arranged with technical support: in some cases our technicians are able to do this locally. Other times it is necessary to have a technician from the represented house who, together with our technician, will train the personnel concerned.
Extreme case, some training is done at the headquarters of the represented house which are usually abroad.
In each case described above, it is necessary to enter into a contract by contacting technical support.
